Nine reasons why your inspired work matters

Your existence serves a very valuable purpose at this tumultuous time on our planet. If you have been wondering how you can make an impact given the rapidly changing economic landscape, then I encourage you to consider the following reasons as to why you would want to discover, create, and live your inspired work.

1. It provides fulfillment, meaning, and satisfaction in your day-to-day life.

This might seem to be a self-serving reason, and it is. You are no good to anyone if you are being consumed by feelings of waywardness and despair. When you align your work with living your truth (your purpose), envisioning a new world (your vision), and taking creative action to realize new experiences for yourself and others (your mission) – then your work is guided by principles that truly matter to you and serves to sustain you in your everyday actions.

2. It is what you were born to do.

The thought of being “born to work” may be off-putting, but that’s only if you go by an old definition of work, which is “to sacrifice your life to make money”. If you apply a new definition of work, which is “to make best use of your strengths, gifts, and talents in a way that serves humanity-at-large”, then it makes absolute sense as to why you were born the way you are. When you understand how integral you are to the whole, you gain confidence in your being and become more present and grounded in physical reality. You become more “here”.

3. It invites you to break through your own limiting beliefs and internal barriers.

You were born as a blessed being, complete unto yourself. Sadly, throughout your upbringing, you adopted a bunch of cockamamie stories from others that perpetuated lies of your lack and limitations. (We all do this, by the way, in case you felt alone.) The beauty of the inspired work journey is that because your work is such a true expression of who you are, any place where you have been suppressing or limiting yourself will be exposed, and will require you to release those patterns so that you may thrive, as is your natural birthright.

4. You consciously choose where to invest your energy.

Your energy is yours and in regard to your work, you have complete sovereignty as to where you want to invest it. You choose which activities you want to engage in, which creations you want to birth, and which relationships you want to nurture. It is through this power of conscious choice that you create and live the reality that matters to you.

5. You influence the world through your vision.

There is good reason why my core offerings are called the Vision Journey and the Vision Program. Your vision is your highest imagining of what is possible for the world, grounded in a universal truth. It is your core guiding principle and it informs every decision you make in your work and in your life. As you align your actions to your vision and you begin to see the world you imagine become actualized, you begin to understand your profound capacity to influence existence itself.

6. It opens channels for abundance to flow to you and through you.

I use the word abundance here in its most expanded sense. It is the graceful receiving of your own energy in all of its forms, be it creative ideas, exuberance and joy, health and well-being, meaningful relationships, and, yes, also money. Then through the development of offerings in your work, you get to share your good fortune with others.

7. You get to exercise complete creative freedom.

Your inspired work is so unique to you that it does not yet exist in the world. It is your “job” to create it. Because as such, you have complete creative freedom as to what form your work takes, who it serves, and the value it provides. There are no limits to what you can create and there is no end to your creative journey. You truly can birth whatever your heart desires.

8. You are supporting the growth of a new economy.

The basis of an economy is that each of us has something valuable to offer that is useful and serves the needs of others. As our current economic landscape is being rocked under our feet, we must steadily bring forth the new kinds of work that meet the new needs of humanity given the new world we want to realize.

9. It is your valuable contribution to humanity.

Whether your message is one of love, inspiration, authenticity, connection, sovereignty, freedom, expression, innovation, creativity, or truth, what matters most now is that you be it and you live it. Use your work as a platform to shine the light of your consciousness and provide a beacon that helps us, as a humanity, navigate these stormy seas.

We are the generations responsible for creating our new reality and thus, the era of self-doubt and self-diminishment is over. You are the generous gift that you have to offer the world, now is the best time to give it.
